This wonderful river cruise on-board the MS Cyrano De Bergerac takes us down the River Garonne, around the Gironde Estuary and into the River Dordogne. The highlight of your cruise is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bordeaux, home to some truly stunning architecture. Of course, there’s also a chance for you to sample some wonderful wines along the way.
Day One - UK to Northern France
Across to Calais for our overnight stay in Northern France. (D)
Day Two - Northern France to Bordeaux
Embark the MS Cyrano De Bergerac and enjoy a welcome drink. We settle in to our cabins before dinner, which will be followed by an evening of entertainment. (B,D)
Day Three - Bordeaux to Pauillac
We sail down the River Garonne to join the River Gironde, passing Cazeau Island and Patiras Island, before arriving at Pauillac. Why not join our optional excursion to visit Medoc? Return on-board for dinner and entertainment. (B,L,D)
Day Four - Pauillac - Gironde Estuary - Blaye
We sail early this morning to Blaye. In days gone by this superb acropolis was an ideal lookout post to watch for invaders. This afternoon you will have an opportunity to join our optional excursion along the Corniche road and guided tour of Blaye Citadel. Return to the ship for dinner, followed by an evening of dancing. Day Five - Blaye to Libourne or Bourg
Cruise to Libourne or Bourg, where we can join an optional excursion to St Emilion, including a superb wine tasting experience. On our return to the ship, we enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment. (B,L,D)
Day Six - Libourne or Bourg to Cadillac
Cruise to Cadillac, passing the island of Cazeau. Enjoy lunch on board. Following dinner there is an evening of entertainment by the crew as we moor in Cadillac. (B,L,D)
Day Seven - Cadillac to Bordeaux
Enjoy breakfast and lunch on-board, as we cruise to Bordeaux, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, consider our optional tour of Bordeaux, after which we return to the ship for our gala evening. (B,L,D)
Day Eight - Bordeaux to Northern France
After breakfast on-board, we disembark and journey back to Northern France to our overnight hotel, arriving for dinner. (B,D)
Day Nine - Northern France to UK
We travel to Calais for our crossing back to the UK and continue home. (B)

Cornish Road And Blaye
Join us as we explore the Corniche Road, a narrow and picturesque route that runs alongside the Dordogne, before opening into the Gironde Estuary. Admire beautiful gardens, historical fishermen’s houses, cliffside scenery, and the famous ‘carrelets’ - curious fishermen’s cabins perched above the water.
We continue to Bourg, a charming village situated on a rocky outcrop. Bourg is known for its medieval ramparts which surround the village. After time to explore, we continue to Blaye, where we visit the Citadel. This majestic UNSECO World Heritage Site overlooks the Gironde Estuary and offers magnificent views.
Guided Walking Tour of Bordeaux
Explore the UNESCO city of Bordeaux with us today, taking in the beautiful boulevards and riverbanks. We enjoy the opportunity to admire its many sights and attractions, while also learning more of its interesting history.
St Emilion City and Wine Tour
Today we enjoy a guided tour of St Emilion, a beautiful medieval town. Admire the many sights here, such as Trinity Chapel and the town's Monolithic church, which is also the largest of its kind in Europe. We will then continue to a family-owned wine-growing estate, where we will experience a wine-tasting session.
Visit to Medoc
The Medoc is a lovely wine-making region of France, home to over 1,500 vineyards, and with some of the Bordeaux region’s finest wines being produced here. During our excursion, we will enjoy a scenic drive through this unique landscape, and will also pass the castles Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild, stopping at one to enjoy a wine tasting experience.
