Itinerary

Day One - UK to Belgium
We’ll make our way from the UK to Belgium, via Calais, and will spend the night at a comfortable hotel. 

Day Two - Belgium to Bad Peterstal-Griesbach
In the morning, we’ll continue our journey via elegant Luxembourg, before arriving in Bad Peterstal, where we stay at the Hotel Hirsch for five nights. (B,D)

Days Three to Six - Bad Peterstal-Griesbach
We enjoy two scenic drives through the magnificent Black Forest during our holiday, first taking in the charming villages of Triberg and Rottweil. We then take in Freiberg and Lake Titisee’s beautiful scenery. (B,D) 

Day Seven - Bad Peterstal-Griesbach to France
Time to begin our return journey today, as we travel to France, staying at an overnight hotel. (B,D)

Day Eight - France to UK
We’ll return to the UK today, travelling from France via Calais and then continuing home. (B)

En Route: Luxembourg

We make our way to Luxembourg, where we enjoy free time to explore the city of Luxembourg. This excellent destination was influenced by bordering France and Germany and boasts a pretty old town, perched high above the green gorges winding down around it.

Full Day: Triberg And Rottweil

Enjoy the wonderful scenery around Germany’s popular Black Forest region, as we call at the pretty town of Triberg, famous as the home of the country’s highest waterfalls, a centre of traditional woodcarving as well as the Black Forest Museum. You may also pick up here some of the local produce, such as the cured hams or kirsch liquer. We go on to visit charming, medieval Rottweil, which has some interesting architecture, including Roman ruins and Gothic churches.

Full Day: Freiburg and Titisee

We travel to the old town of Freiburg, known as the gateway to the southern Black Forest and home to the magnificent 'Muster', a dark red sandstone Cathedral, as well as a beautifully preserved Old Town. We continue our journey as we venture onto Titisee with its natural drinking water reservoir and nature reserve with its picturesque waterfront promenade. Titisee is also famous for making the world renowned Hones cuckoo clocks.

Full Day: Strasbourg

Strasbourg is the ultimate European city. It has flavours of both France and Germany, and sits right on the border of the two countries. Its picturesque 'La Petite France' neighbourhood looks like something straight out of a fairy-tale book. This riverfront neighbourhood is famous for its timbered buildings accented by colourful flower boxes.
We explore the city at leisure, taking in sights such as Strasbourg Cathedral, the famous astrological clock, and La Petite France.
