In and around Llandudno
From Llandudno to home
The Marine Hotel occupies a fabulous place on the Llandudno seafront close to the very best that the resort has to offer in terms of shops, bars, restaurants and great attractions.
Around the hotel there are great options of places to enjoy a drink in the sun or a bite to eat with a number of excellent bars and restaurants around the North Western Gardens close to the hotel. One of the town’s top attractions is Great Orme, which can be travelled up by on Great Orme Tramway or by foot if you are feeling active. From the top you will enjoy great views back over the town and over to Snowdonia National Park.
Head along the coast in either direction from Llandudno and you will discover fantastic coastal landscapes and a number of pretty seaside towns. Heading just out of town you will arrive at Conwy which is notable for its castle and delightful old town. Further along on Wales’ west coast you will reach Porthmadog and the Italian influenced town of Portmeirion.
In the hotel you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the hotel’s indoor pool, great to wake yourself up before a busy day exploring north Wales. Then enjoy a tasty breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant with great views over the Irish sea as you enjoy a wide and varied menu.
Full Day: Llangollen including aqueduct cruise
Enjoy an excursion taking a relaxing cruise along the stunning Llangollen Canal. Enjoy on-board commentary from the skipper as we cross the awe-inspiring Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, 126ft above the River Dee with fantastic views. An 11-mile stretch of this wonderful waterway is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Half Day: Llanberis
Venture into pretty Snowdonia where we call at Llanberis, lying in the shadows of Mount Snowdon.
