The landscape of the Lake District was the inspiration for many of Beatrix Potter’s popular stories. Her love of this beautiful area stemmed from many childhood holidays and she set many of her most famous stories here.
On this trip you’ll have the chance to explore the World of Beatrix Potter attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere where the 23 magical tales by the author are brought to life with the sights and sounds of the various characters. Meet your favourites, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tiggywinkle and Mr. Tod and of course, Peter Rabbit.
We’ll also take in beautiful Lake Windermere on a lake cruise, enjoy a trip along the River Leven on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and have a fabulous cream tea at Lindeth Howe Hotel.
