Day One - UK to Germany
We cross to France then continue into Germany for our late arrival at the hotel.
Day Two - Cologne
Following breakfast, we visit the vibrant city of Cologne. On return to the hotel we enjoy dinner this evening. (B,D)
Day Three - Christmas Eve
Today is at your leisure, or you may join our optional a trip to visit charming Monschau. Later this afternoon our hotel will host tea/coffee with traditional 'Aachen Gingerbread'. This evening we enjoy a four-course Christmas Eve dinner. (B,D)
Day Four - Christmas Day
Enjoy breakfast, before the morning at leisure. Later on, we will take an excursion to Maastricht, after which we'll enjoy a glass of mulled wine upon our return to the hotel. We then sit down to a traditional turkey Christmas dinner and celebrate with a Christmas party. (B,D)

Full Day: Cologne Carnival
Join us for a day of festivities at the Cologne Carnival. We’ll watch the charming Children’s Processions, which are bound to make for a fantastic day out. Watch the parade, filled with colourful costumes and decorations, as well as elaborate floats and a wonderful atmosphere.
Full Day: Maastricht
An excursion to Maastricht, the southernmost city in the Netherlands, also known as the ‘Paris of the Benelux’. Visit the prettiest parts of the old city centre including the Stokstraat Quarter, the Basilica of Our Lady, the Ramparts and the parks plus much, much, more. Take some time out to explore the network of underground passageways and vaults beneath the city where a large part of the Netherlands’ art treasures were safeguarded during World War II.
We spend time exploring the friendly Dutch town of Valkenburg, known for its charming town centres and historical chalk houses (known locally as mergel). Enjoy time at leisure to admire the town's many sights, such as the ruins of Valkenburg Castle, a number of beautiful churches and its many historical buildings.
We’ll head into the scenic Eiffel region to visit the historic town of Monschau today. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the winding alleys and take in the beautiful half-timbered houses that are traditional in Germany.
