Itinerary

Day One – UK to Holland
From your departure point travel to Hythe Interchange (Stop 24) and join your main tour coach for the channel crossing to Calais. We then continue our journey to the NH Jan Tabak.

Day Two to three – Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Amsterdam
Watch traditional crafts such as clog and cheese making or visit the windmills and traditional buildings at Zaanse Schans. Local charges apply for some attractions. We will then continue to Volendam, a coastal town where the villagers still dress in their traditional dress in the shops, cafes and restaurants perched around a pretty harbour. On our return we will visit a cheese factory to watch a demonstration of how they make their famous cheese.
On our full day to Amsterdam you will have chance to visit the many famous sights including world famous museums such as the Rijksmuseum or Anne Frank House. Wander the famous canals and explore all the different districts that make up this fabulous city. You will have the option of seeing Amsterdam from a different perspective on a guided canal cruise. Day Four – Holland to Northern France
We leave our hotel behind and drive south through Holland. Before crossing into Belgium we will stop in Sluis, a traditional Dutch village on the Belgian border. Famous for being the last port for Bruges, Sluis is often thought of as the most Flemish town in the Netherlands, and its Flemish-style belfry certainly proves this (B,D)

Full Day: Amsterdam

As Holland’s capital city, Amsterdam is guaranteed to be a fantastic place to visit during our New Year break. The city is famous for its expansive canal system and many bridged islands, for which it’s earned the name ‘Venice of the North’. This bustling city will be a highlight on our holiday, as it is absolutely packed with things to do.

The Museum Square, or ‘Museumplein’, is home to some of the most significant museums in the city, such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum. All three are well worth touring in our spare time in the city, and there’s also the Anne Frank House and the Civic Guards Gallery, as well as many other exhibits and sights.
