  • Overview

The city of Liverpool is truly a superb destination for UK coach holidays. Liverpool is famed for its contributions to culture and sport, producing the world’s most famous  pop group of all time in The Beatles, but there are so many Liverpool attractions to discover even if you’re not a Beatles fan (but then who isn’t?) Liverpool is also home to two of the world’s best-known football clubs in Liverpool FC and Everton FC.

    About Liverpool

Liverpool is a historical maritime city located in North West England in the county of Merseyside. Liverpool was founded in 1207 and granted city status in 1880, so it has a long and fascinating history to discover. Parts of Liverpool city centre were granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2004, and Liverpool was the European Capital of Culture for 2008. Britain’s most well-known horse race is held annually at Liverpool’s Aintree racecourse.

    Liverpool Attractions

When it comes to Liverpool sightseeing you’ll find an embarrassment of riches; including the famous Albert Dock, The Beatles Story, a visitor attraction telling the story of The Fab Four; The Cavern Club, a recreated live music venue based on the club  that hosted early Beatles performances; Merseyside Maritime Museum; the Museum of Liverpool, which delves into the city’s lengthy history; The Walker art gallery, home to pieces spanning centuries; Tate Liverpool, where you’ll find a wide range of modern art.
