    About Worcester

    Worcester is a fascinating city, having been the site of the final battle of the English Civil War. King John’s tomb can be found in Worcester Cathedral, the composer Sir Edward Elgar was born here, and Sir Charles Hastings, founder of the British Medical Association, lived here. 

    The city of Worcester is a wonderful place to visit, with something for absolutely everyone, from its intriguing historical sights to its shopping centres and pretty open spaces.

    We’ll be based at one of the many comfortable hotels in Worcester during our holiday, and will get to explore this charming city to our hearts’ content. There are lots of attractions here, including the George Marshall Medical Museum, The Morgan Motor Visitor Centre, the Museum of Royal Worcester, the Tudor House Heritage Centre, and the Elgar Birthplace Museum. 

    There are also the city’s pretty parks, including the Fort Royal Park, where one of the battles of the Civil War took place.
