The city of Nottingham is located in the county of Nottinghamshire, in England’s East Midlands region. In 2015 Nottingham was designated a UNESCO City of Literature, and Nottingham famously has links to the legend of Robin Hood. In 2015 Nottingham was named 'the home of English sport', as examples of the city’s sporting prowess: Olympic champion ice skating legends Torvill and Dean hail from the city of Nottingham, and the city is home to twofamous football teams: Nottingham Forest FC and Notts County FC.

    Nottingham Attractions

Nottingham Castle, built by the son of William the Conqueror, is a fascinating piece of Nottingham’s history; another of Nottingham’s enticing attractions is  Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, home to a stunning Elizabethan mansion, used as Wayne Manor in the 2012 Christopher Nolan film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
