    About Jersey

    Jersey is a truly unique island, with many fascinating traditions and customs. While English is the island’s spoken language of choice, the native Jerriais tongue is still spoken by some islanders. With a history spanning over one thousand years, as well as a number of important historical events to its name, Jersey has always been an important destination.

    During World War II, Jersey was occupied by Germany from July 1940 to May 1945, with the Jersey War Tunnels being constructed at this time.
