We returned from our 4 day break on Monday 8th April 2013. We enjoyed our stay at County Hotel. Our room was warm and very clean. The Hotel was welcoming and the Staff very helpful. Food was of an excellent standard and Waiting Staff most efficient.

It was our first time at a Shearings Hotel and we had a very enjoyable weekend. Far beyond our expectations. The room was a Sea View, very clean and tidy. The food was very good with plenty of choice. Good entertainment in the evening as well. We would definitely return in the future and would recommend the hotel.

We returned on Monday from 4 days at the hotel and were very impressed. Our room was clean and excellent value with sea view. The food was perfect and good variety of menu. Staff were very good and very helpful, only fault was the wine requested at dinner time as forgotten once and delivered with sweet on another so returned as enjoy it with my meal! Entertainment was excellent but suggest Friday night change as he is boring and put some off! Will return and would recommend the hotel to all.

This was my husbands and my first shearing holiday, we had a great time at the County Hotel the staff were amazing the food great we can’t thank Andy and his staff enough. We are hooked on shearing holiday’s now great experience from start to finish. Once again thank you for a great holiday.

Our third self drive stay at the County in the last 10 months - so that speaks for itself- a good clean comfortable and friendly hotel - all the staff were super - from the front desk - dining room and kitchen - you do not get to meet the kitchen staff but I did pop my head round the corner to say "thank you" In my view Shearings are the UK leaders in this type of holiday offering quality and first class value for money even better when you consider the 4 drink vouchers per day.

Had a lovely 2 night stay food lovely , staff very helpful nothing too much trouble, room very clean. Only downside was the disco not as good as we would have liked but still better than having no entertainment the acts that were on before the disco were good. We will visit again with no hesitation.

Nice Hotel My husband and I, and 2 friends have just returned from a week at the County Hotel, On the whole and (apart from the weather) we had a good holiday, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was good but we were very disappointed with the entertainment. The resident compare/comedian was absolutely awful, and was no -where near as funny as he thought he was, we went to the Marine Hotel on the Friday night and the entertainment was brilliant, one lift was not enough in Hotel.

Just returned from a weekend in Llandudno. Hotel was clean, room nice and spacious, food was nice, this was our second trip on Shearings self drive this hotel was much better than our first trip.

I visited with my friend for a midweek break and we were very pleased with the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was a good size and kept very clean by Joanne. The food was excellent and for the money we could not have expected more. The entertainment was mixed, which is where the 4 star comes in but the free drinks almost made up for it. Would visit again with no hesitation, but want to try the Marine next time.

We have just celebrated the New Year at the County Hotel, it was one of the best short breaks we have had. We could not fault anything. The Manager and his staff are lovely and so friendly. The chef produced some wonderful meals and our room was extremely comfortable, everything we could have wanted was provided. The entertainment was very good and the ballroom and all the public rooms were, beautifully decorated. We will be back. Thanks to all concerned.

Nice clean room. The food was superb, particularly as my wife has coeliac needs so cannot have any food with Gluten like wheat Rye and Barley. The Menu was well laid out to show Gluten Free Food and the Chef plus his team must take lots of credit. A special mention must be made of our Dining Room Waiter Dusan who was Friendly, Efficient and nothing was too much trouble for him. Good Hotel Location Right on the Promenade. Helpful Staff, Good Food. What More Do You Want? Would like Wi-Fi Though!

Myself and my mother have just returned from our third break at the County Hotel. As usual all the staff went out of their way to provide the personal service that is normally only associated with smaller family run hotels. Nothing was too much trouble from agreeing to our request for a specific room (as my mother has mobility issues and does not like lifts either!), the fact that the Chef had a 1-2-1 discussion with my mother regarding her meals (as she can only eat limited foods) I could go on

stayed at county 2/3/4 went to see That’ll Be The Day Friday night what a show Then on sat night at hotel Peter White (Kenny Rogers tribute) what a fabulous week-end reception staff ,dining room staff all fabulous this hotel takes a lot of beating have stayed at Gailoch, Whitby, Scarborough, Eastbourne, Isle of Wight, but this hotel is by far the best so compliments all round from cook to Andy manager thanks again, have just got list off tributes on January, February, March and April you will certainly be seeing us again.

Spent a fabulous week-end at county entertainment out of this world Friday Johnny Roques with 50's & 60’s music then Saturday night saw Adam Carter in Elvis tribute second time we have seen Adam will not be the last well done management and Shearings for providing such first class entertainment.
