Simply The Best

We just came back from our 4th trip to the Bay Gairloch Hotel. It is simply the best place to visit. You just have to look out the front window of the hotel and you know why you come! I never tire of visiting Gairloch and hope to visit for many years to come. While there we visited the local museum. It is extremely interesting. We made another visit to Appelcross. The weather wasn't as good as in the past but it still is appealing. Many thanks to Tony and staff. We hope to see you again soon.

Lovely Stay

We have just returned from Gairloch. Had a wonderful time the hotel was very comfortable food good and staff very helpful. Our first room we got offered wasn't very good but with a word with the manager he changed it straight away no problems! Such a regal hotel in lovely settings could just do with a touch of Scotland added! And maybe a few pots of flowers outside! Our driver John was the best he took us all over the highlands safely and was full of information about the area.

Another great holiday

Just back from our 5th trip to Gairloch, where we enjoyed another brilliant holiday. We have usually had decent weather but this time it was up to 30 degrees. Don’t be put off by the long journey its well worth it once you get there.

No Shower

This my first visit to the Highlands, a very long trip from the West Country, disappointed when we opened the bedroom door to a very damp, musty smell, like it had not been used for some time. Also no shower, there was plenty of room to have had one fitted in the bathroom, which was in great need of redecoration. In spite of this had a really great holiday and the staff were very friendly, also the entertainment was good.

We have just come back from our third trip to Gairloch. What a brilliant trip. The scenery is second to none. What a fantastic location for a hotel. The staff were great and the food was great. Kitty, many thanks for trying to get the dessert that I needed! The optional excursions were good especially the one to Apple cross-the highlight of the trip! If you eat at the inn there ask for the squat lobster sandwich. It is fabulous. We can't wait to go again for another Gairloch fix!

Third visit

Just back from another very enjoyable visit to Gairloch. Yes it’s a long journey but well worth it. The Hotel is in a brilliant setting. Food was good, plentiful, and always hot and lots of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Yes it is in need of a little TLC in parts but our room was clean and more than adequate for our needs, didn’t spend much time in it any way with the trips out and evening entertainment. Hope to be back.

5 Star Plus

Along with a couple of friends we spent a fabulous few days at this hotel where hospitality, food, friendship, cleanliness and entertainment was second to none. We had great weather too. When everyone at home were dodging the showers we were taking in the magnificent scenery, in the area. If you want an extra wee thrill try the road to Applecross over the Bealach Na Ba. Wonderful!

Second Visit

Just back from Gairloch again, very enjoyable the staff are so nice, nothing is too much trouble. The food was delicious and well presented, the choice on the menu was also very good, Brilliant entertainment every night even some bingo on 2 nights. Our coach driver Tony was excellent when driving from Inverness to Gairloch we hit some very nasty weather, I said he deserved a medal for keeping the coach on the road in high winds and very bad visibility. Planning on going again next year.

Excellent Value

We were on a self drive inclusive 4 day holiday. Our room was excellent with beautiful views. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the entertainment very enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel although it was a long way to drive. Maybe next time we will go by coach!

We had a very enjoyable weekend at Gairloch Hotel. There was a slight hiccup when we were booking in but thanks to the very friendly and helpful receptionist, the matter was resolved within 5 minutes and the rest of our stay went without a hitch. The room we were allocated was very clean and comfortable. The food was of a very good standard and the bar prices were reasonable. The fully-inclusive rate was very good value for money. Excellent stay, highly recommended.

First Highland Visit

This was our first coach trip and we really enjoyed it, although it there was a lot of travel involved as we went up to Gairloch. We were just glad we weren’t driving! Our driver, John, was excellent, very knowledgeable about the area and a good steady driver. The scenery was outstanding. Our accommodation and staff at the Gairloch Hotel was very good. The food was good, plain fare, the entertainment also was excellent. Excursions very good Westerwood at Cumbernauld also excellent. ?
