Excellent Short Break

Our first holiday with Shearing's but will not be last. Organisation throughout was first class. Driver Steve made both journeys to and from Fort William very interesting and also was a mine of information during excursions. "Thank you Steve" Hotel was clean, comfortable and warm. All staff were efficient and friendly and entertainment was good quality. We met many likeminded people and enjoyed making new friends.

The Caledonian Hotel

Just returned from Fort William had a good holiday our driver Dale was excellent. The hotel was clean and staff helpful especially the dining room staff but food not very nice couldn't cut meat with knife alone chew it, also not much taste to any of the food. Entertainment good most nights, the hotel we for the stopped at over night was not very nice but the one on our return was excellent. I enjoyed the trips out each day and loved Scotland, if it wasn't for the food I would think of a return

The Caledonian Hotel

We had a really good holiday. The staff were excellent. Especially the dining room staff. The entertainment on the Monday night was excellent with Ronnie Ross. The rooms were clean and the variety and choice of food was excellent. Although the weather was not to good we enjoyed our stay because we were well looked after.

Excellent Value Break

Excellent value holiday. Much cheaper than travelling independently. Driver Steve full of facts about the area. The rooms are in need of some TLC, bed needed a new mattress, but good value for price paid. Meals ok but our waitress needed a bit more training. Barman, Christophe needs a medal works on his own on bar and still able to remember who drinks what. Entertainment aimed at over 60's but most of guests are over 60. Would visit again.

Fabulous Location

Had a really good holiday at this hotel it was our first time and would go back. Staff very friendly entertainment good, food excellent room very nice and had a great view of the Loch from our bedroom window. Our driver Steve was excellent and told us all about the history on our trips out. Hotel could do with a little maintenance but that would be my only fault Entertainment was good.

Fabulous Short Break

My friends and myself have just returned from this holiday and have had a great time. I had to have my room changed, as being a 'single person' room, it was like a wardrobe!!! For a little extra I had a front room with a Loch view - wonderful. The food was very good, and the service also excellent and efficient. The staff on reception were very helpful. We had three wonderful excursions, where the driver , Dominic, was very knowledgeable, there didn't seem much he didn't know.

Just Love Fort William

This was our 4th visit to this hotel and find it excellent value for money and a fantastic location. Some of the rooms could do with a little more maintenance. The staff are excellent and really make everything so much better. Shame that Carl Wilson is still the entertainer on Saturday night as he specialises in humiliating guests and has not changed a word of his performance in 4 years!

The Caledonian Hotel

We have just returned from a holiday at the Caledonian Hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. It was clean and the food was good, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The bingo was hilarious. A good time was had by all of us. No complaints what so ever. I would definitely go again.

Caledonian Hotel

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights in March. We were very impressed with the location and the general appearance of the hotel. Our room was facing the Loch on the 4th floor and was really pleasant, good views, roomy and clean. The food was good and with a reasonable choice. I've stayed in quite a few Shearings hotels and this was the best food so far. The entertainment was good on the Friday night but positively dire on the Saturday night, we had to leave and take our drinks to our room.

Caledonian Hotel

I was with a group of walkers and I liked the room, food, and the reception and dining room staff were excellent, not fussy on the entertainment, but that was my choice whether to stay to listen or not, I would recommend this hotel.

The Caledonian

I stayed at the Caledonian Hotel from May 16th to May 19th. The hotel is very nice, with a fabulous view across the loch. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff, particularly in the dining room, are excellent; efficient, polite, courteous and attentive. It was the best service that my wife and I have had in any hotel dining room.  There’s entertainment every evening in the comfortable, attractive bar area. No complaints; this hotel offers excellent value for money.
