St Ives is one of Cornwall’s most popular resorts. Originally a small fishing village, the resort is now a cosmopolitan mix of award-winning beaches, art galleries, craft shops and stunning scenery. St Ives still has a historical charm, with its granite cottages, cobbled streets and tangle of lanes and alleyways in the town centre.

The beaches of St Ives have soft golden sand and the sea has some of the cleanest water in Western Europe. Seals can often be seen basking in the harbour and the rugged coastline is home to lots of unusual wildlife. St Ives is also home to the famous Tate Gallery, and there are many other galleries in town where examples of the area’s rich artistic tradition can be seen.
