Scarborough was Britain’s first ever seaside resort and is the perfect place for good old fashioned fun. The resort has two soft sandy beaches where you will find donkey rides, traditional fish and chip shops, interesting gift shops and amusement arcades. The headland is dominated by a lovely old ruined castle. Scarborough town centre has lovely Victorian architecture which creates a wonderful vintage feel.
Scarborough is a bustling town with lots to see and do all year round. The town centre is great for shopping and there are a variety of museums to explore. If you prefer a relaxing break, the town has some beautiful parks and gardens and you can’t beat a gentle stroll along the seafront to blow away the cobwebs.
We have two hotels in Scarborough. The Norbreck hotel is situated on the headland near the castle ruins and has panoramic views over both beaches. The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre and has entertainment on most nights. Alternatively, you can stay at the New Southlands Hotel which is situated near the South Beach and is also just a few minutes’ walk from town. Coach holidays to Scarborough include coach travel, accommodation, meals, hotel entertainment, and some also include guided excursions to the North Yorkshire Moors or other towns along the Yorkshire Coast.
