The landscape of the Lake District was inspiration for many of Beatrix Potter's popular stories. Her love of this beautiful area stemmed from childhood holidays and was eventually to become her final resting place.

Included Excursions

Full day: World of Beatrix Potter & Lake Cruise: We take a hop, skip and jump to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction where you can experience all of her magical tales brought to life using sights, sounds and even smells. Here you will discover an insight into the life of Beatrix Potter who held a great affection for the beauty of the Lake District and made it her home. Then we continue to Bowness-on-Windermere where we enjoy a leisurely cruise taking in the spectacular scenery before enjoying an afternoon tea at the Lindeth Howe Hotel, which was once owned by the author herself.

Full day: Scenic Railway & Southern Lakes: This morning we take a relaxing trip on the wonderfully preserved Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway through the contrasting lake and river scenery of the Leven Valley. Then we enjoy a scenic drive stopping at popular Coniston, quaint Hawkshead and bustling Ambleside at the top of Lake Windermere.
