We are one of the leading holiday companies in the UK for the over 50’s, providing memorable holidays and short breaks to destinations from Lucerne to Llandudno and Bournemouth to Berlin. Our product range is extensive including, air, cruise, rail, spa, theatre & showtime breaks and touring holidays as well as hotel breaks for the independent traveller, to our Bay and Coast & Country hotels.

Helpdesk Executive

Salary circa £14,000 per annum depending on experience - Based in Wigan

Applications are invited for the position of Customer Helpdesk Executive based within a very busy department.  Office experience is preferred, together with Word for Windows, a professional telephone manner and an excellent standard of written English.  This role involves speaking with customers to ascertain whether we can meet their requirements, usually relating to disability or mobility.

Working 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, you will be an organised team player who has a thorough approach to responsibilities with the ability to both prioritise your workload and multi task.

Driver Trainer/Instructor

Our goal is to ensure our customers enjoy the best holiday experience possible, so it’s essential that we drive the highest standards of training and quality in the business. Based in Stretton; reporting to the Driver Training Manager, you will design and implement training programmes to comply with the requirements of CPC regulations, carry out driving assessments and undertake a quality control role to maintain our excellent standards.

Holding a current PCV license and with substantial driving experience, you will be a skilled driver with extensive knowledge of EU driving regulations and WTD regulations. You will also have excellent communication, IT and customer service skills. Some experience of coach operations and of driver training would be preferred, as would a level 3 NVQ in Driving Instruction. The flexibility to travel and work some weekends is also essential and you will be required to spend some time away from home.

Vehicle Technicians

Shearings Holidays are recruiting skilled and qualified HGV/PCV Technicians to work at our depot at Normanton. Competitive rates of pay, depending on experience. Shift patterns consist of mornings and late afternoons.

Working in a team of highly skilled HGV/PCV technicians, the successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance and repair.

General duties to include:
  • Vehicle inspections
  • General servicing
  • Correction/repair of vehicle defects
  • Engine/gearbox repairs & overhauls
  • MOT preparation/presentation
