Portofino: A chance to discover this pretty village, hidden away in a peaceful coastal inlet shielded by oliveclad slopes. Stroll through the streets and admire the colourfully-painted houses, the fishing boats that bob up and down in the harbour or visit some of the many quaint shops selling ornate lace products.

Monaco & Monte Carlo: Monaco and Monte Carlo. The exclusive principality of Monte Carlo, famous for its casino built in 1878 and the annual Grand Prix that winds its way through the streets. Despite its small size it has become one of the most elegant playgrounds for the rich and famous. We continue to the old city on a rocky promontory extending into into the Mediterranean known as "The Rock", Monaco.

Ventimiglia Market: Ventimiglia Market. Ventimiglia is an Italian border town and is known for its weekly market selling typical local produce of fruit, vegtables to clothing and leather goods.

Holiday Details

Day 1: UK to France
Across to Calais and on to our overnight hotel in France.

Day 2: France to Diano Marina
Continuing south through Italy to our resort of Diano Marina for our six night stay at the Hotel Kristall. (B,D)

Days 3 to 7: Diano Marina
The start of your relaxing week in this beautiful beach resort, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean climate and clear blue seas of the Italian Riviera. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Diano Marina to Reims
After breakfast we travel north through France to our overnight hotel. (B,D)

Day 9: Reims to UK
Calais, Dover then home. (B)
