Holiday Details

Day 1: From home to South Wales
For travel by coach, we make our way across South Wales, to our carefully selected overnight hotel. For Air holidays, we fly to Dublin and our overnight hotel.
Day 2: From South Wales to Waterford
Today we visit beautiful St David's, Britain's smallest cathedral city, and go on to take the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare, continuing on to the central Fitzwilton Hotel in Waterford, a beautiful four-star property, where we will enjoy a five night stay.
Day 3: We explore Kilkenny
We travel into County Kilkenny to call at the medieval county town itself, full of fascinating, historical buildings, such as St Canice's Cathedral, as well as contemporary shops, cafés and restaurants. Kilkenny castle is at the heart of the city, and we have time to enjoy the charming grounds.
Day 4: Lismore Castle Gardens and Dungarvan
This morning we head to the heritage town of Lismore, where we visit Lismore Castle Gardens and enjoy an insightful guided tour with the Head Gardener, before time to explore. There are also renowned contemporary sculptures in the gardens, and an art gallery is available to view in the castle's west wing. We then head to the coast, for free time in the pretty harbour town of Dungarvan.

Today you can enjoy a free day in bustling Waterford. This is Ireland's oldest city, so has lots of heritage to discover - take a stroll around the historic 'Viking Triangle' area, visit the world famous Waterford Crystal, or relax by the waterfront.
Day 6: Visit to Johnstown Castle Gardens & National Agricultural Museum
After a leisurely morning, we call at Johnstown Castle Gardens. Take the chance to enjoy a stroll through the wooded grounds, along the castle lakeside or terrace walk, or pass through the 'Devil's Gateway' into the walled ornamental gardens and hothouses. You can also visit the Irish Agricultural Museum here, home to some fascinating exhibitions. This really is a hidden paradise!
