Holiday Details

Day 1: From home to Dublin
If you're choosing to travel by coach then our holiday begins as we head to Holyhead for a ferry crossing over to Ireland. If you've decided to fly to Ireland then all you need to do is make your own way to the airport as once in Dublin we'll collect you from the airport and take you on to the Clairon Liffey Valley Hotel for an overnight stay. Let the sightseeing begin!
Day 2: From Dublin to Ennis, visiting Shannonbridge along the way
We leave Dublin and head to Shannonbridge for a cruise on the River Shannon. It’s then time to continue on to Ennis to the Auburn Lodge Hotel which will be our base for the next three nights. Here we'll enjoy a punch reception on arrival and live entertainment on one night whilst staying at the hotel.
Day 3: We’re off to Foynes Flying Boat Museum and Bunratty Castle
Today we take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon, then fly back in time to before the Second World War with a fascinating visit to the Foynes Flying Boat Museum. Foynes is also home of the original ‘Irish Coffee’ and we enjoy a demonstration here. We continue to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, incorporating Ireland’s most complete medieval fortress as well as the impressive park where 19th century life is vividly recreated in the ‘living’ village.
Day 4: A free day in Ennis
Enjoy a day at leisure in Ennis - relax and enjoy the hotel’s fantastic facilities, including indoor pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, or venture out and explore Ennis, or join us on an optional excursion - the choice is yours!
Day 5: From Ennis to Cork via Cobh
Our stay in Ennis is now over as we journey on to Cobh and the Queenstown Story where we’re told about the ill-fated Titanic and the story of Irish immigrants. After learning about this fascinating history we travel on to Cork, where we enjoy a guided city tour and time at leisure before we head off to the Vienna Woods Hotel in Glanmire, for two nights.
Day 6: A day for you to explore Cork
Spend a relaxing day in Cork. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from Cork city centre, or you can relax and enjoy the hotel’s leisure facilities, which include indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym.
Day 7: The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway
We get back on tracks today with a journey on the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway, along 6km of narrow gauge track along the banks of the River Suir. Lunchtime beckons as we approach Waterford for a short stop before continuing our journey to the outskirts of Dublin for our overnight stay at the Ardmore Hotel, where we also enjoy a complimentary glass of beer or wine with dinner this evening.
Day 8: From Dublin back to home
After an Irish breakfast we bid you farewell, as we head off to catch our ferry or flight home. It's been a memorable holiday you'll cherish forever!
