Holiday Details

Day 1: Home to North Wales
For travel by coach, we make our way to North Wales for our overnight stay. (D)
Day 2: Caernarfon to near Cork 2015
We catch and early ferry from Holyhead to Ireland and once on dry land we travel westwards, taking in the scenery of Portlaoise and Cashel on the way to Cork. This is where we spend the next five nights at the Midleton Park Hotel, in Midleton, close to Cork. (B,D)
Day 3: Midleton, Cobh & the Titanic Trail
We start with a trip to Midleton, where we discover the heritage at the Jameson Distillery and get to sample one of Ireland’s top tipples. Next we’re off to the historic harbour town of Cobh to enjoy a fascinating ‘Titanic Trail’ walking tour. Cobh was the last port of call of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. (B,D)
Day 4: Kinsale & Cork city
Today we head to Kinsale, one of the most fashionable resorts on the west coast of Ireland, and known as the gourmet capital of Ireland. Having retained much of the flavour of its maritime history it’s a great place to visit. We go on to call into bustling Cork city centre for free time to explore before returning to our hotel. (B,D)
Day 5: A day at leisure in Cork
Today you can venture back into the vibrant city of Cork, or perhaps relax and enjoy the leisure facilities at your hotel. (B,D)
Day 6: Glengarriff, Kenmare and the Beara Peninsula
Today we make our way to the tranquil village of Glengarriff overlooking Bantry Bay before beginning our tour of the lesser-known Beara Peninsula, a beautiful unspoilt area of Ireland. We round the day off with a visit to the heritage town of Kenmare which links this peninsula with the Ring of Kerry. (B,D)
Day 7: Cork to North Wales 2015
Unfortunately our holiday must draw to an end as we retrace our steps back across Ireland to Dublin for our return sailing back to Holyhead. We then stay once more at an overnight hotel in North Wales. (B,D)
Day 8: North Wales to Home 2015
We depart this morning and make our way home. (B)
