    INCLUDED EXCURSIONS

    Kufstein
    Full Day: Kufstein & Chiemsee
We call at pretty Kufstein set in the Inn Valley, overlooked by its historic fortress and boasting a lovely old town, with picturesque narrow lanes, including the popular Romerhofgasse. We continue over the border into Bavaria, where we enjoy a scenic drive, seeing beautiful Lake Chiemsee.
    Rattenberg
    Half day Rattenberg
The smallest town in Austria, our trip today is to Rattenberg, famous for its glass-blowing heritage, which you will see in the shops along the streets and alleyways of this medieval town. Overlooked by the ruins of Schlossberg castle, Rattenberg is a delight to explore.
    Zell
    Half Day: Zell am See

We take a jaunt to the nearby town of Zell am See, which enjoys a wonderful location on the lake Zeller See. Stroll along the popular promenade and take in the views or explore the historical centre, home to a medieval tower and gothic church. Those with an interest in local history may choose to visit the town’s Heimatmuseum.

    OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

    Innsbruck
    Innsbruck

Innsbruck is a wonderful city and is, in fact, the capital city of Tyrol. Its placement in a valley means it features excellent scenery, with high mountains on all sides. This Alpine scenery makes the city even more mesmerising, but there’s a lot more to see in the city besides its views.

For instance, while at leisure in Innsbruck, you may choose to visit some of the many attractions the city has to offer, such as Ambras Castle, the Rococo-style Helblinghaus and, opposite it, the iconic Goldenes Dachl, which many see as Innsbruck’s symbol. This building features thousands of fire-gilded copper tiles that account for its name, which can be translated as ‘Golden Roof’. It was built for Emperor Maximilian I when he married Bianca Maria Sforza in 1500.

    Fraueninsel, Lake Chiemsee
    Lake Chiemsee cruise
Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we take a view along the serene Lake Chiemsee.
    Salzburg
    Salzburg
We’ll take an optional excursion to Salzburg during our holiday, with free time to explore the city at leisure. Admire the Old Town’s beautiful baroque architecture, and wonder at the background of mountainous scenery. We’ll also have an optional guided walking tour to enjoy, so we can find out more about this fascinating city’s history.
