Arriving into Dublin we head northwards into St Patrick Country visiting the fantastic visitor centre for an insight into Ireland’s patron saint. Close by is Down Cathedral where Saint Patrick is buried, here we enjoy a guided tour before continuing on to the fascinating Navan Centre where Living History characters bring the stories to life. After a guided city tour of Belfast there is time to explore the city at leisure before continuing our journey into County Donegal.

During our stay we visit the historic walled city of Londonderry, UK City of Culture for 2013, before continuing along the beautiful Antrim Coast to reach the awesome Giant’s Causeway – Northern Ireland’s iconic World Heritage Site. The newly opened visitor centre is a fantastic site to explore, enhanced by an included audio guide.

After time to relax and take in the local surroundings we also visit colourful Letterkenny before taking a scenic drive into the Glenveagh National Park in the heart of County Donegal. As we journey back across Ireland to Dublin we visit the thriving town of Donegal and historic Enniskillen. We also call in at the Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre, where pieces are made using traditional methods. A final night in Dublin brings this wonderful holiday to an end.

    Must See: Gienveagh National Park
Gienveagh National Park is one of the six national parks in Ireland and is situated in north-west County Donegal. It encompasses some 16,000 hectares in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains and is home to many interesting plants and animals. The land was managed as a private forest before becoming a National Park in 1975.
