Staying at the Hotel Hampshire in the charming town of Huizen in the Netherlands, we’ll be perfectly placed for all our holiday has to offer. We’ll begin with the highlight of our break - a trip to Lisse, where we’ll find the mesmerising Keukenhof Gardens. Wander along the pathways to admire the enchanting floral scenery, and be sure to remember your camera!

The next day, we’ll make our way to Utrecht, enjoying time to explore this excellent city with its stunning combination of historical and modern architecture. Onwards to the village of Haarzuilens in Utrecht, to discover the magical De Haar Chateau and its impressive gardens. The chateau dates from the late-1300s and has been beautifully restored by the Rothschild family. The surrounding park has often been compared to the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, thanks to their formal gardens, waterworks and intricate design.  Spend time exploring these beautiful gardens, as well as discovering the perfectly restored chateau.

As we make our way home, we’ll stop overnight in Northern France and, on the way, will pay a visit to the bustling city of Ghent. Admire the beautiful architecture here, including the Belfry of Ghent and Saint Nicholas church.
