Our Scottish five-day break begins as we make our way to The Portpatrick, situated in an amazing location on the Galloway Cliffs. Offering superb views, this hotel will serve as the ideal base as we discover the stunning gardens this region contains.

We will enjoy two included excursions during our holiday, first taking a trip to Logan Botanical Gardens. This wonderful garden features a range of exotic plants and trees, such as Chusan palms, eucalyptus and many other blooms usually only found in the southern hemisphere. After this, we take a scenic drive along the picturesque Mull of Galloway to admire the beautiful views here.

The second excursion on our itinerary will include a visit to Castle Kennedy Gardens. These gardens, too, are famous for the unusual plants that grow here, and which would never normally be found in Scotland. Some of the best specimens found at Castle Kennedy include rhododendrons; after we have explored these picturesque gardens we will re-join our coach for a scenic drive along the Machars Peninsula.
