Based at the Hallmark Inn in Derby, we’ll be ideally placed for enjoying all this excellent city has to offer. We’ll get to explore Derby at leisure, while also visiting two of the most famous stately homes in this region.

Chatsworth House, located in the picturesque Derbyshire Dales, is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire, with the Cavendish family having lived there since 1549. This stately home enjoys a fantastic position along the banks of the River Derwent and features incredibly opulent interiors that are sure to astound.

Meanwhile, the Shugborough Estate is located just a few miles from Stafford and once belonged to the Bishops of Lichfield. Nowadays, Shugborough Hall and Estate is a beautiful National Trust property, having been lovingly restored to its former glory. The entire estate, which dates from the mid-1500s, consists of the hall, an intriguing museum, a delightful kitchen garden and a model farm.
