We’ll enjoy a full day spent in Bruges - make the most of time at leisure to explore this magnificent destination.     Half Day: Ghent

    We visit the charming city of Ghent, comprising a mixture of French and Flemish, and often referred to as the historical heart of Flanders. Explore the narrow streets leading to fascinating squares during our excursion here.

    Ostend station
    Half Day: Scenic coastal drive and Ostend

    Join us as we enjoy a scenic drive along the coast to reach the popular seaside resort of Ostend. You will have time at leisure to stroll along the beautiful promenade or relax at one of the many bars and restaurants, where you can sample one of the many beers Belgium is famed for.

    Antwerp
    Full Day: Antwerp

    Antwerp, with its attractive architecture and excellent history is a fantastic place to visit, and we’re sure to enjoy our day spent there. We’ll be able to look forward to everything from shopping to visiting attractions, and there’ll be time to enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes or restaurants in the city as well.

    There are a number of ‘must-see’ sights in the city, such as the Cathedral of Our Lady, Rubens House, the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) and the Museum Plantin-Moretus. We’ll be able to tour some of these attractions during our stay in the city, and will also be able to wander through the streets admiring the pretty architecture.

    Ostend Harbour and station
    Ostend
    Enjoy free time to discover the wonderful Belgian seaside resort of Ostend, with its galleries, pretty pier, and impressive Sint-Petrus-en-Pauluskerk cathedral to discover. Explore at leisure to see the sights here.

    OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS


    Hooge cemetery, Ypres
    Battlefields Tour
    We’ll get the benefit of travelling with an experienced Battlefields guide, who will be able to give us insight into the intense fighting which occurred during the World Wars.

    This excursion will take us to some of the key sites of fighting, and our tour guide will give us more information in the form of stories and anecdotes from soldiers.

    Bruges Guided Walking Tour
    Bruges is a fascinating city, and we’ll be able to enjoy a guided walking tour of the city while we’re thee. This will provide us with more information about the city, as well as showing us some of the most famous attractions and landmarks.
    Ypres
    Half Day: Ypres

    We'll take a trip to Ypres today to explore this incredibly historical town in Belgium. Ypres is home to a great many fascinating sights, such as the 13th century Cloth Hall and Saint Martin’s Cathedral, which features remarkable Gothic architecture.

    During our time in Ypres, we’ll be able to tour these attractions at leisure, as well as enjoying walks through the town to see the local sights.

    The Belfort tower, Sluis
    Sluis

    We’ll make our way to Sluis in neighbouring Holland, where we’ll have free time to explore this enticing town. With its popular shopping areas and lovely atmosphere, it’s easy to fall in love with this excellent destination. Sluis is often thought of as the most Flemish town in the Netherlands, and its Flemish-style belfry certainly proves this!

    Antwerp Guided Walking Tour

    Antwerp is the second largest city in Belgium, but it wasn’t always this way. During this intriguing walking tour, we’ll be able to find out more about how Antwerp has become the city it is today, by enjoying a tour of the city and its assorted highlights.

    These include attractions such as the Cathedral of Our Lady, St. James' Church and St. Boniface Church, as well as particular areas of the city. Zurenborg, a popular area known for its art nouveau architecture, is often included, although the exact route of our walking tour may differ.

    We’ll also be able to find out more about the Marian statues which are dotted about the city, and will get to see some of them for ourselves.

    The Belfort tower, Sluis
    Half Day: Sluis

    Sluis, with its quaint atmosphere and typically Dutch style, is a wonderful place to visit. We’ll travel to this town in the Netherlands on an optional excursion, and will have a few hours to explore its attractions. These include an eye-catching Gothic belfry and a stone mill.
