    INCLUDED EXCURSIONS

    Bruges centrre with horses
    Full Day: Bruges

Enjoy the exquisitely preserved medieval city of Bruges during this excursion. Charming Bruges is known for its winding cobbled streets, pretty gabled houses and attractive tree-lined canals, each crossed by a humpback bridge.

We’ll spend a full day in Bruges and will be able to explore the city at leisure, enjoying its architecture and historical details. Whether we choose to simply soak up the atmosphere here and admire the scenery, or visit one of the city’s many attractions - such as its medieval belfry - we’re sure to have a lovely time.

    Veurne market
Half Day: Veurne Market & Coastal Drive

The Belgian city of Veurne is known for its large market square, which is surrounded by beautiful Renaissance-style buildings, one of which - the belfry - is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is of course a regular open-air market held at the square each week, and we’ll get the chance to visit during our holiday. We’ll be able to shop for souvenirs and mementoes of our break, as well as enjoying the busy atmosphere here.

After our time at the Veurne Market, we’ll take a pleasant scenic coastal drive in order to soak up the wonderful views.

    OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

    Bruges
    Bruges Guided Walking Tour
Bruges is a fascinating city, and we’ll be able to enjoy a guided walking tour of the city while we’re there. This will provide us with more information about the city, as well as showing us some of the most famous attractions and landmarks.
    The Belfort tower, Sluis
    Half Day: Sluis

Sluis, with its quaint atmosphere and typically Dutch style, is a wonderful place to visit. We’ll travel to this town in the Netherlands on an optional excursion, and will have a few hours to explore its attractions. These include an eye-catching Gothic belfry and a stone mill.

    Ypres Market Square
    Ypres & Last Post

We’ll make our way to Ypres to observe the moving Last Post ceremony, which takes place every night to commemorate those who lost their lives in Ypres during the First World War. Held at the iconic Menin Gate, the ceremony will be a chance to pay our respects to our fallen heroes. While we’re in Ypres, we’ll also be able to explore this attractive city.
