Home Connect - we collect you from your home

For the ultimate in convenience and comfort, why not choose our Home Connect service?

Relax in the comfort of your own home, waiting for your driver to collect you from your front door and take you to meet your coach. Then at the end of your holiday we’ll take you home again - it’s that easy! When you book this service you’ll be given a collection time window, usually of approximately 30 minutes. This will be re confirmed when your tickets are issued.

Note: Home Connect is only available on Grand Tourer holidays travelling by coach.

This service may incur a small supplement for those travelling from selected joining points and for customers booking within four weeks of departure.

We’ll pick you up by coach from a convenient joining point near you and take you to one of our interchanges. Here you’ll join your holiday coach and set off for a fantastic holiday.  When you've chosen your tour, give us a call and we'll let you know your approximate pick-up time.

Holiday Details

Day One - London St Pancras to Saarlouis
We meet at London St Pancras for our Eurostar service to Saarbrucken, where we are met and then transfer to Saarlouis, where we join the MPS Da Vinci. Enjoy a welcome drink upon arrival and settle into this fantastic river cruise ship, or why not explore this cultural city? A charming fortified town that was founded by the Sun King in 1680, Saarlouis has a very interesting history. (L,D)
Day Two - Saarlouis to Saarburg
Departing Saarlouis in the morning, we sail onwards to Saarburg and arrive by early afternoon. Here, we will get the opportunity to explore nearby Luxembourg, one of Europe’s smallest nations. Discover the excellent attractions here, such as city’s Notre-Dame Cathedral and the beautiful Old Town. (B,L,D)
Day Three - Saarburg to Trier
Sit back and relax as we sail along the Moselle River to reach Trier, a captivating city surrounded by stunning scenery. This city dates from Roman times, as we can explore its well-preserved Roman buildings at leisure, or why not join our optional Roman Trier excursion? The city is filled with splendid sights, such as the ruins of Roman baths, a Roman amphitheatre, and Trier Cathedral, where the Holy Tunic Jesus was said to be wearing when he died is stored. (B,L,D)
Day Four - Trier to Bernkastel
Onwards from Trier, we make our way to Bernkastel, known for its medieval architecture and marketplace. We can further explore this wonderful history with an optional excursion this afternoon, taking in the many sights here. (B,L,D)
Day Five - Bernkastel to Cochem
Another early sailing for us today, as we continue our journey as we enjoy breakfast on-board the MPS Da Vinci. Why not visit the Sun Deck to better admire the scenery before we arrive in Cochem in the afternoon? Cochem is known for its wine-making heritage, and we will have two optional excursions to consider today to learn more about this charming town. We can explore Cochem and visit Reichsburg Castle, or experience an evening wine tasting. (B,L,D)
Day Six - Cochem to Koblenz
Setting sail early in the morning, wake to see amazing changing scenery of the Rhine as we sail onwards to Koblenz. Set at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, this city is filled with incredible sights - why not explore some of them with our historical Koblenz optional excursion? (B,L,D)
Day Seven - Koblenz to Cologne
We depart Koblenz in the morning as we enjoy breakfast and sail onwards to Cologne, arriving by early afternoon. . Join us for an included excursion to discover this magnificent city, known for its excellent cultural attractions. Admire the famous Cologne Cathedral and the city’s beautiful architecture during our excursion. (B,L,D)
Day Eight - Cologne to Andernach
Why not join our optional excursion to discover Cologne and its magnificent cathedral this afternoon? We then set sail for Andernach, cruising through the night. (B,L,D)
Day Nine - Andernach to Cochem
We have an included excursion to discover the Ahr Valley to enjoy this morning, as we take in the scenic beauty of this wonderful destination. We then sail onwards to Cochem, a charming town famous for its timber-framed buildings and historical atmosphere. (B,L,D)
Day Ten - Cochem to Alken
Why not join us on an optional excursion to explore Cochem, as well as discovering the incredible imperial Reichsburg Castle, before we set sail for attractive Alken in the early afternoon. (B,L,D)
Day Eleven - Alken to Rudesheim
We enjoy a morning and afternoon of sailing today, as we make our way from Alken to Rudesheim, where we will look forward to the highlight of our cruise. This evening, we take in the mesmerising Rhine in Flames event in Rudesheim - watch as the town’s enchanting castles and churches are brought to life. They will serve as the backdrop to a miraculous fireworks display over the mighty Rhine. (B,L,D)
Day Twelve - Rudesheim to Mainz
Consider joining our optional excursion to discover more of Rudesheim this morning, before we sail onwards to Mainz, known for its interesting history. Here, we enjoy an optional guided walking tour to learn more about the town’s fascinating heritage, and to see its best sights. (B,L,D)
Day Thirteen - Mainz - Boppard - Koblenz
From Mainz, we sail to Boppard in the morning, arriving before midday and enjoying time to explore this charming town. Boppard is surrounded by rolling green hills, and we can take in more of this fantastic scenery as we sail to Koblenz this afternoon. Upon arrival, why not join our optional guided walking tour of this historical town? (B,L,D)
Day Fourteen - Koblenz - Linz - Bonn
Departing Koblenz in the early morning, we cruise along the Rhine to reach Linz, where we spend the morning. Admire the wonderful scenery over breakfast, and then why not explore the town a little? By the early afternoon, it will be time to return to the MPS Da Vinci for our sailing to Bonn, the former capital of West Germany and Beethoven’s birthplace. See some of the city’s best sights with our guided walking tour this afternoon. (B,L,D)
Day Fifteen - Cologne to London St Pancras
Our cruise will draw to a close today, as we cruise from Bonn and arrive in Cologne in the early morning. After breakfast, we disembark the MPS Da Vinci and transfer to Cologne Station. Here, we join our local service to Brussels and then take the Eurostar to London St Pancras. (B)
