    Central Scotland is the strip of mainland north of Glasgow-Edinburgh axis and south of the Highlands. The region is packed full of significant ruins, iconic castles and charismatic landscapes that will leave a lasting memory in the mind of any visitor.

    Central Scotland has been the main stage for some of the most prominent events in Scottish history; it is home to many iconic landmarks and castles, including Stirling Castle, which was historically the most important bridging point across the River Forth.  

    The area is also renowned for its remarkable landscape and ancient woodlands which thrive side by side with breathtaking scenery and impressive peaks. It’s ideal if you enjoy walking, cycling, mountaineering, and wildlife safaris. But that’s not all; central Scotland also boasts a fascinating coastline along the county of Fife, which is scattered with historic fishing villages and beaches. 

    Central Scotland has countless points of interests and attractions to tempt you. Visit Stirling’s old town and its imposing castle perched high above the town, where you can see the peaks of the forested Trossachs region and enjoy the splendid scenery. Other notable landmarks include Blair Castle, Scone Palace, Dunkeld Cathedral and Black Watch Museum.

    Visitors can also enjoy wonderful coastline in the country of Fife, sprinkled by historic fishing villages and sandy beaches. Other attractions include the historic university town of St Andrews, famous worldwide for its golf courses, the ancient town of Perth, and the spectacular Highland Perthshire.
