    Weymouth s is a stunning seaside town in Dorset situated on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey of the English Channel coast. Its Georgian seafront combined with the spectacular stretches of fine sandy beaches, makes Weymouth one of the finest and most beautiful British resorts with one of the warmest climates.  The views from the bay are fantastic; stretching across the horizon to offer a unique getaway to the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.  Weymouth was one of the host venues of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics sailing events. 


    Weymouth's fabulous sandy beaches, prosperous heritage and imposing warm climate make it a firm favourite holiday destination. It is the perfect base for discovering the stunning county of Dorset, one of the UK’s most scenic counties and act as a getaway to the Jurassic Coast. But the history of this popular touristic resort goes back to the 12th century and this can be seen from its remarkable Georgian architecture. Also, Weymouth’s harbour is a must visit for tourists and is home to cross-channel ferries, pleasure boats and private yachts. There’s so much  to do and see in this beautiful destination. 

    As one of the UK's most beautiful seaside resorts, Weymouth offers a vast amount of activities and attractions for everyone regardless to their age or preferences. There is a host of fun things to do - all within a relatively short distance of the town. There’s the famous Nothe FortSandsfoot Castle and of course the amazing sandy beaches for a relaxing stroll, admiring the fabulous views.

    For panoramic views across the South Dorset Downs and Weymouth Bay, visit Jordan Hill Roman Temple, a Romano-Celtic temple, currently under the control of English Heritage, and free of charge for visitors.  If you want to add an extra aspect to your visit to Weymouth you can also take the Condor Ferry over to Guemsey and Jersey. Also, if you are a fishing advocate, you should visit the stone pier, ideal for sea fishing and catching different types of fish.
