    Chester is famous for its history, having been founded as a Roman fort in AD 79, and it’s also one of the best-preserved walled cities in Britain. Be sure to admire the near-intact Grade I listed city walls during your time here, and don’t forget to take a look at the restored medieval buildings in Chester’s centre.
