Derby has something for everyone, thanks to its interesting past and great things to do. The city experienced a huge boom in the Industrial Revolution, having been one of the key players during this era. The signs of its role in the revolution are still apparent today, with the Silk Mill Museum and the Royal Crown Derby visitor centre being two interesting attractions in the city. Meanwhile, the Derby Arboretum was the first public park to be created in the whole of the UK.
Based at one of the many Derby hotels during our holiday, we’ll be able to enjoy the city’s museums, shops and cafes to our hearts’ content. The city is famous for the Derby Theatre, where we’ll be able to enjoy all kinds of productions, as well as for its many concerts and festivals. The city’s cathedral, the Cathedral of All Saints, is also an excellent attraction, and is surrounded by Derby’s fantastic town centre, including the Westfield Shopping Centre.
