Holiday Details

Day 1: UK to Reims
To Calais, then southwards to Reims for a late arrival at our overnight hotel.
Day 2: Reims to Hergiswil
To Switzerland and Lake Lucerne, arriving in Hergiswil in time for dinner and our six night stay. (B,D)
Day 3: Hergiswil
Today the choice is yours. You can choose to have free time in the resort or you can join us on our half day optional excursion to Lucerne. For more than a century this beautiful lakeside city, with its well-preserved medieval core and elegant buildings, has been one of the the greatest tourist attractions in Switzerland. Lucerne boasts a lovely quarter with medieval squares and old churches. From the town there are stunning views of the mountains and the lake.
Day 4: Engelnerg
Today we take a half day tour to Engleberg. A charming village in the shadow of the immense Mount Titlis, the highest peak in Switzerland at 3,239m. You also have to option to take the Titlis Cable car ride to experience the breathtaking scenery first hand.
Day 5: Andermatt & The Oberalp Pass
Today is another day of breathtaking scenery as we take a ride on the 'Schollengen' george train to Andermatt, then up to the 2,033m high Oberalp Pass, on the route of the Glacier Express.
Day 6: Hergiswil
Today we offer you the chance to relax and take in the local area or you may choose to join us on one of our three optional tours. A visit to Berne, the historic Swiss capital, whose enchanting old town is decorated with fountains and arcaded streets. Our optional sightseeing tour features the major highlights, including the Gothic Cathedral of St Vincent and the Marktgasse,this also includes a journey through Emmer Valley. Whilst in Berne you may wish to join us on our guided walking tour of Berne to ensure you don't miss a thing. This evening we have an optional tour of Lucerne by night so you can see this beautiful city from a different angle.
Day 7: Interlaken & Grindelwald
Today we venture into the bustling town of Interlaken, below the Jungfrau massif, then by narrow gauge railway to the world famous resort of Grindelwald. We also have an optional train journey from Hergiswil to Brienz by train.
Day 8: Hergisiwil to Northern France
Today we have to say farewell to Switzerland and head back to Northern France for our overnight stay.
Day 9: Northern France to UK
After breakfast we head to Calais for the sailing to Dover and home. (B)
