Barcelona: The world-famous cosmopolitan city of Barcelona is a lively and exciting place. With its unusual Gaudi architecture that is its trademark, the city is full of things to do and sights to see, including Las Ramblas (packed with shops, bars and restaurants), Montjuic (the mountain overlooking the city) and Camp Nou (home to Barcelona FC).

Scenic Costa Dorada: Sit back and enjoy a scenic drive of Costa Dorada to explore some of the traditional areas that make up the real Spain. We make a short stop at the Monestir de Poblet, a Cistercian Monastery founded in 1151 and lies at the foot of the Prades Mountains. Our journey takes us to the walled medieval town of Montblanc with free time to explore many of the preserved Gothic civil constructions including the 14th century Royal Palace. We continue our journey north to the town of Tarrogona. Explore the charming alleys of the old quarter and discover a heritage of historic monuments and locations from the Roman and Medieval periods to the modern eras.

Cambrils Market: Enjoy the atmosphere of the old town, where you can taste local products, try some of the many delicious seafood specialities for sale, and take home some world-class olive oil.

Optional Excursions

Reus: Join us on a half day optional excursion to one of the main shopping districts in the town of Reus. Just a short drive away, enjoy free time shopping or window browsing at the many designer, traditional and major chain boutiques. Reus is not only about shopping, explore the many plaza's that host museums, an octagonal bell tower and the 16th century gothic church.

Sitges: Located between the sea and the mountains, the city of Sitges (which belongs to Barcelona) on the Mediterranean provides a beautiful natural setting to this town. The interesting historic quarter complements the luxury compounds, golf courses and marina's right next to the beach. The cuisine from Sitges gathers the most representative Catalan dishes and creates exquisite recipes like "xats".

Holiday Details

Day 1: Depart UK
Dover, Calais then settle for your overnight travel through France.

Day 2: Arrive Salou
An early morning drive across the Spanish border sees us arrive in Salou around lunchtime. (D)

Days 3-14
Salou Time to relax in Salou with three included excursions. A Shearings representative is on-hand throughout to assist. (B,L,D)

Day 15: Depart Salou
Leave after lunch and travel back overnight through France. (B,L)

Day 16: Salou to UK
Calais, Dover then home.
