Not for the feint hearted.

The overnight travel is horrendous although I suppose it was what should have been expected. A long haul. Coaches used were the blue variety and the leg room was small for such a journey. Hotel Samba is comfortable enough but the food side of it is patchy to say the least. Not the greatest choice most days and the evening meal seemed to be the left over part of the lunch. Hotel is on a hill but it isn't that bad for the averagely fit to get to. Lloret seems to cater for the 18 to 25 type rather than older people. Most closed out of season but venues seem set up for night life rather than anything else. I would not do the trip again.

Hotel is not on a small hill

This hotel Samba is far from situated on a small hill, it is totally unsuitable for people who are disabled or have breathing problems. My husband often had to use his inhalers on walking up this steep hill.It is a very steep climb from all directions leading up to the hotel. This hotel would benefit from a good re-vamp in DIY, although clean with good food and service of staff very freindly. The 1 drink per person at one time is abit annoying, as you only get a small tumbler and obviously does'nt take long to drink, so you are at the bar alot of the time.Overall, it was a good holiday, we would'nt go back to this hotel though due to location and distance from amenities.
