The magical Moselle valley is renowned for its scenic beauty and charming villages. Experience the medieval Moselle bridge of Koblenz, Reichsberg Castle standing guard above Cochem, the historic architecture of Bernkastel, the ‘Old Crane’ of Andernach, Rüdesheim in the Rhine Gorge and Boppard with its unique riverside castle. This cruise through the heart of Germany's wine producing country leaves behind the hustle and bustle of the big cities to ensure you stay as calm as the waters beneath you..

Holiday Details

Wednesday: Embark in Cologne
Joining our cruise vessel in Cologne, take time to visit the many historic sites of this wonderful city.
Thursday: Cologne to Andernach
We start our cruise heading to Andernach. Explore St. Mary’s Cathedral and the streets of the old town which dates back to the 11th century.
Friday: Andernach to Rüdesheim
This morning we cruise through the Rhine Gorge enjoying the green hills, castles, forts and romantic ruins that crowd the banks of the river. Explore Rüdesheim in the afternoon, perhaps sampling the local wine in a cafe along the Drosselgasse.
Saturday: Rüdesheim - Boppard - Koblenz
We head first to Boppard where you will find the best example of a Roman fort in Germany. During lunch, we sail to Koblenz where we meet the Moselle. Don’t miss the gothic churches or the cable car connecting the town centre to the Fortress across the Rhine, offering spectacular views.
Sunday: Koblenz to Cochem
This morning we cruise to Cochem. The ‘Pearl of the Moselle’ is surrounded by vineyards and is home to the impressive Reichsberg Castle, an iconic landmark standing guard above the Moselle.
Monday: Cochem to Bernkastel
We sail to Bernkastel where you can explore the medieval market square filled with 400 year-old half-timbered houses, the 17th-century Renaissance town hall and the Spitzhauschen, or ‘pointed house’.
Tuesday: Bernkastel to Trier
We journey to Trier, arriving in the afternoon. Take time to explore and discover an abundance of history in Germany’s fourth largest city.
Wednesday: Disembark in Trier
We say goodbye to the MPS Rotterdam and the Magical Moselle.
