Travelling along the romantic Rhine and into the scenic Main Valley, you’ll have the chance to explore some of Germany’s oldest and most fascinating cities. To cultural Cologne, medieval Andernach and delightful Rüdesheim, add Offenbach’s palaces and Miltenberg, home of one of the oldest inns in Germany. You could explore Wertheim’s glass museum, pretty Lohr or Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg. So enjoy some of the most enchanting destinations that Germany has to offer from the comfort of a beautiful ship..

Holiday Details

Wednesday: Embark in Cologne
Take some time to explore Cologne. Visit the famous ‘Dom’ or enjoy a stroll through Cologne’s Old Town, a must for any visit.

Thursday: Cologne to Andernach
We sail to Andernach, arriving mid-afternoon. Andernach is one of Germany's oldest towns with remnants of medieval times. Explore the beautiful old town or relax in one of the numerous cafés and bistros on the historic marketplace.

Friday: Andernach - Rüdesheim - Offenbach
Continuing south we stop at Rüdesheim at the southern end of the scenic Loreley Valley. Visit Siegfreid's museum or enjoy the bustle of Drosselgasse, the perfect place to enjoy some local coffee. This evening we sail to Offenbach where we moor overnight.

Saturday: Offenbach to Miltenberg
An early departure this morning as we cruise along the Rhine to the beautiful Main River. Our port of call today is the historic town of Miltenberg known for its picturesque timber framed houses.

Sunday: Miltenberg to Wertheim
Cruise this morning to Wertheim located on the confluence of the rivers Tauber and Main in southwestern Germany. Take a tour of the medieval town centre with its half-timbered houses and narrow streets. A must see is the wonderful Wertheim castle, a landmark within the town.

Monday: Wertheim to Lohr
We arrive early this afternoon in Lohr known as the ‘Gateway to the Spessart’. Don’t miss the Old Town Hall, the Lohrer Schloss – a palatial castle dating back to the 15th century or the historic “Fishermen’s Quarter”. So much history, just waiting to be explored!

Tuesday: Lohr to Würzburg
This afternoon we arrive in Würzburg. Why not join our optional excursion to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Bishops’ Residenz, one of Germany’s largest and most ornate baroque palaces.

Wednesday: Disembark in Würzburg
We depart the MPS Da Vinci,with fond memories.
