Ports of Call

Andernach: One of Germany’s oldest towns, home to the world’s highest cold water geyser.

Königswinter: Situated on the right bank of the Rhine, home of the awe-inspiring Drachenfels Mountain.

Cochem: Located in the Moselle Valley and surrounded by vineyards, Cochem is a very pretty town with so much to explore.

Koblenz: Situated where the Rhine joins the Moselle, Koblenz has a whole host of historical sites just waiting to be explored.

Rüdesheim: This romantic town is situated in the Rhine Gorge, this romantic town is justifiably famed for its wonderful wines.

Linz: Austria’s third largest city, offering a wealth of historical sights and a vibrant arts and music scene.

Boppard: Located close to the midpoint of the Rhine, Boppard is home to some beautiful, dramatic Gothic architecture.

Mainz: Home to over 2,000 years of fascinating history, Mainz is a cultural city with so much to discover, including a wide variety of wines.

Bonn: Former capital of West Germany and Beethoven’s birthplace, there’s a wealth of fascinating history to explore.

Oberwesel:Explore the town fortifications including 16 preserved towers.

Remagen:Look for the ivy-clad ruins of Rolandsbogan castle and Remagen Bridge.

Holiday Details

Come and enjoy the spectacle of the 'Rhine in Flames', an annual event when the countryside is illuminated with fireworks soaring into the dark nocturnal sky. We have captured three magical cruises where thousands of red Bengal lights and magnificent hilltop firework displays radiate over the river valley. A wonderful journey with time to explore the pretty riverside villages and historic towns whilst absorbing the scenery and sights of the Rhine Valley. A cruise combination of fire, water and light.

Wednesday: Northern France to Cologne Join the MPS Rotterdam in Cologne.

Wednesday: Cologne to Northern France Journey by coach to your overnight hotel.

Thursday: Northern France to UK We travel on to Calais for our ferry to Dover and continue home.

Join by Air

Wednesday: UK to Cologne/Düsseldorf Fly to Germany and transfer to the MPS Rotterdam for your cruise.

Wednesday: Cologne/Düsseldorf to UK Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK.

Join by Rail

Wednesday: London St Pancras to Cologne Enjoy the Eurostar to Brussels then onwards to Cologne to join your cruise.

Wednesday: Cologne to London St Pancras We leave the MPS Rotterdam joining the service to Brussels then Eurostar to St Pancras, London.
