18 September 2012

This holiday is the epitome of good cruising

I have quite a severe mobility problem and I was very apprehensive about embarking on such a venture. However, I need not have worried! The cabin crew were kind, helpful, friendly and showed me every consideration. There are chair lifts between decks on the MVS Rotterdam and everyone, from the Hotel Manager to the cleaners couldn't have done more for me. The food was very good, (more than enough for me)the cabins, were small but adequate, as there was plenty of room in the lounge and on the upper deck. The firework display was fantastic! Can't wait for my next cruise!Thank you to all on board. A grateful oldie

great scenery. shame about the ship!

Cabins on main deck very small and claustrophobic.Food not that good. pretty bland and not well cooked. The same meat and cheese platter was served every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner!Firework display certainly NOT spectacular. The way the ship was moored, the crew had a better view than the passengers.Lack of segregation of smokers on open deck will ruin your enjoyment if you are a non-smoker.Best thing about the holiday was the scenery.

19 August 2012

Food great, staff excellent.

Service was superb as staff could not do enough to make the trip unforgettable. Food comprised full breakfast, morning coffee, 4 course buffet lunch, afternoon tea, 5 course dinner with waiter service. What more could you ask for. Included was an Indonisian night and a Gala dinner. Basic cabins were small but comfortable and very clean.
