For your enjoyment we have packed in more than the usual sites and are pleased to offer a great value cruise on the MV Virginia.

Must See: Rudesheim
The enchanting winemaking town of Rudesheim am Rhein enjoys a superb location, set on the riverside at the foot of the Niederwald. Rüdesheim forms part of the designated UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rhine Gorge, which makes the region one of Germany’s most visited attractions.

Take time to sample some of the famous local wines and enjoy a stroll through the picturesque old town, which dates back to the Middle Ages, and includes parts of the city’s fortifications.

The historic street, Drosselgasse, is where you will find cosy traditional wine taverns. Don’t miss the Rüdesheim coffee, a treat not to be missed.

Holiday Details

Monday: Embark in Cologne
The MV Virginia is just waiting to welcome you on board today. Settle in then why not venture out into the beautiful city of Cologne. The stunning Gothic cathedral here is itself a World Heritage Site, but there is lots more to discover, including the historic old town and bustling shopping streets.
Tuesday: Cologne to Koblenz
We leave the cityscapes of Cologne behind and gently cruise along Rhine Gorge to pretty Koblenz, idyllically situated on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. The town has an abundance of cultural monuments, historic buildings and twisting alleyways, which are a delight to explore.
Wednesday: Koblenz to Rudesheim
Today we continue our cruise, passing the famous Loreley Rock, where legend says a beautiful siren bewitched passing sailors, making them crash into the rocks. Enjoy the riverside scenery and hills passing us by until we arrive in Rüdesheim. This popular town is famous for its wine production, so why not enjoy a stroll along the vibrant Drosselgasse street to sample the produce at one of the quaint wine taverns.
Thursday: Rudesheim – Andernach – Cologne
Before we return to Cologne there is time for one final stop in Andernach. Some of the historic places of interest here include the Round Tower, Koblenz Gates and the castle ruins, but this is also a wonderful spot to take a leisurely stroll along the riverside. Andernach also has a unique natural attraction, as here is the world’s highest cold water geyser. We’ll continue our leisurely cruise back to Cologne.
