This wonderful river cruise takes us down the River Garonne, around the Gironde Estuary and into the River Dordogne. The highlight of your cruise is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bordeaux, home to some truly stunning architecture. Of course, there’s a chance for you to sample some wonderful wines along the way.

It’s easy to relax on board the friendly and comfortable MS Cyrano de Bergerac or Princesse d’Aquitaine, part of the CrosiEurope fleet. Whether you’re admiring the spectacular views from your comfortable cabin, dining in the restaurant, dancing the night away or simply sitting back on the spacious Sun Deck, there’s always something to see or do! The Cyrano de Bergerac is the latest addition to the CrosiEurope fleet built in 2013 with a total of 88 cabins. All cabins on both ships are equipped with air conditioning, shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, and safe.

The cuisine on board is of French inspiration with an extensive buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner waiting to tempt your taste buds.

Holiday Details

Sailing Itinerary

Day 1: Bordeaux
Embark the Ms Cyrano de Bergerac or MS Princess d’Aquitaine. Enjoy a welcome drink in the lounge and be introduced to your on-board crew. Dinner will be followed by an evening of entertainment.
Day 2: Bordeaux – Pauillac
We cruise this morning and head down the River Garonne and then join the River Gironde, passing Cazeau Island and Patiras Island before arriving at Pauillac in time for lunch on board. After lunch, why not join our optional excursion to visit Medoc. Return on board for dinner and an evening of entertainment provided by the crew.
Day 3: Pauillac – Gironde Estury – Blaye
We sail early this morning to Blaye. In days gone by, this superb acropolis was an ideal look-out post to watch for invaders. This afternoon you have an opportunity to join our optional excursion along the Corniche, or cliff route. Return on board for dinner followed by an evening of dancing.
Day 4: Blaye – Cadillac – Saint Emilion
We have breakfast as we cruise this morning, heading for Cadillac. Shortly after passing the island of Cazeau, we join the River Garonne and head for Cadillac where we arrive in time for lunch. After lunch on board, there is an optional excursion to Saint-Emilion. We rejoin the ship in Cadillac at the end of the afternoon. After dinner on board, the rest of the evening is free.
Day 5: Cadillac to Bordeaux
Breakfast on board today as we continue our cruise back to Bordeaux, where we arrive in the morning. Lunch on board. Join our optional guided tour of Bordeaux, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We return on board for a gala dinner, followed by an evening of dancing.
Day 6: Bordeaux
After breakfast on board, we disembark.

Join by Coach

Day 1: UK to Northern France
Across to Calais and our overnight stay in Northern France.
Day 2: Northern France to Bordeaux
After breakfast we travel through France to Bordeaux. See Cruise itinerary days 1 to 6.
Day 7: Bordeaux to Northern France
After breakfast we journey back to Northern France to our overnight hotel arriving for dinner
Day 8: Northern France to UK
We travel to Calais for our ferry to Dover and continue home.

Join by Air

Day 1: UK to Bordeaux
Fly to Bordeaux. Transfer to the ship, ready to embark on your cruise.
Day 6: Bordeaux to UK
Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK.

Join by Rail

Day 1: London St Pancras to Bordeaux
Take the Eurostar to Lille, then on by TGV to Bordeaux to join the cruise.
Day 6: Bordeaux to London St Pancras
Join the TGV rail service to Lille then on to Eurostar to London.
