Vilnius
Be seduced by Lithuania's capital, with its beautifully-preserved old town, rich culture and vibrant arts scene. Explore the city's old quarters; a UNESCO-designated World Heritage site, its narrow streets are lined with baroque buildings, pavement cafés and display inspiring Renaissance architecture.

Riga
The largest city in the Baltic States, Riga is a vibrant, fast-evolving modern city with much to offer the visitor. A successful fusion of ancient and modern, the city arguably offers the finest concentration of Art Nouveau buildings to be found anywhere in Europe. A real gem to discover.

Tallinn
The Estonian capital, Tallinn, is a medieval delight. Wander the well-preserved 14 and 15th century streets of the Old Town; see 10th century Toompea castle overlooking the city, the beautiful palace and swan lake of Kadriorg Park, and the spectacular Alexander Nevsky cathedral.

Holiday Details

Day 1: UK to Antwerp
Relax aboard your Grand Tourer coach as we cross to Calais, then on to our overnight hotel. (D)

Day 2: Northern France to Berlin
Into Germany for an overnight stay at the 4* Park Inn Berlin - Alexanderplatz. Enjoy our optional evening excursion taking in the principal sights of Berlin. (B,D)

Day 3: Berlin to Warsaw
Into Poland and to Warsaw, where we spend two nights at the centrally located 4* Jan III Sobieski. Enjoy free time on arrival in Warsaw to take a walk around and soak up the atmosphere of this city that is dominated by modern skyscrapers and the Stalin-era Palace of Culture. (B,D)

Day 4: Warsaw
Today enjoy a guided city tour. Warsaw was almost obliterated during the Second World War, but has now been lovingly restored to its former glory. Our included excursion takes in the famous sights and monuments of this robut city. (B,D)

Day 5: Warsaw to Vilnius
Leave Poland behind and head north east into Lithuania, where we stay in the cosmopolitan capital, Vilnius, for two nights at the 4* Amberton Vilnius. Enjoy our optional Vilnius by night excursion, which reveals the city's unique architectural character. (B,D)

Day 6: Vilnius
Our included guided sightseeing tour today uncovers the principal sights of Vilnius; one of the oldest cities in the Baltics, which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1994. Discover the Old Town, with its numerous churches, narrow houses, and winding streets. You're sure to enjoy the magnificent fusion of past and present architecture, displaying various styles and dating from several eras. (B,D)

Day 7: Vilnius to Riga
Into Latvia and onto Riga for an overnight stay at the 4* Domina Inn Riga. Riga has the finest concentration of Art Nouveau buildings in Europe, and although most of the city's earlier buildings were destroyed in wartime, you will still be able to find evidence all around the city from different centuries. (B,D)

Day 8: Riga to Tallinn
We head north to Tallinn today, and one of the best preserved medieval old towns in Europe, where we enjoy a two night stay at the 4* Domina Ilmarine. Our guided sightseeing tour of the beautiful Estonian capital takes in the main sights, including the Town Hall, St Nicholas Church, Toompea Palace and the ancient city walls. (B,D)

Day 9: Tallinn
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the historic sites independently, or indulge in a little shopping in the elegant boutiques along the Old Town's Viru and Müürivahe streets. (B,D)

Day 10: Tallinn to Stockholm
From Tallinn we make our way by ferry to Stockholm. Accommodation is in two berth cabins with private facilities. (B,D)

Day 11: Stockholm to Copenhagen
From Stockholm we head into Denmark for a one night stay at the 4* Clarion Hotel Copenhagen. (B,D)

Day 12: Copenhagen to Hamburg
Today we continue our journey back home via Odense; birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. We arrive in Hamburg for an overnight stay at a 4* hotel. (B,D)

Day 13: Hamburg to Antwerp
Pass through Germany into Belgium and head to Antwerp for dinner and our last overnight. (B,D)

Day 14: Antwerp to UK
Calais, across to Dover, then home. (D)
