Holiday Details

Tuesday: UK to Belgium
Across to Calais and our overnight hotel.
Wednesday: Belgium to Linz
Depart after breakfast and travel through Europe to join the MPS Da Vinci in time for dinner before setting sail. “
Thursday: Vienna to Budapest
Arrive in Vienna this morning with a full day to explore the impressive Baroque buildings and art nouveau. The ‘City of Waltzes’ famous sites nclude St Stephen’s Cathedral, the magnificent Opera House and Hofburg. Join the optional excursion to the Schönbrunn Palace, home of Maria Theresa and summer residence of the Hapsburgs, where you can enjoy a stroll through beautiful grounds.
Friday: Budapest
We arrive this afternoon in Budapest, the ‘Queen of the Danube’. Budapest, the only capital with two World Heritage sites, has nearly one hundred thermal springs, spas and Roman ruins. Take a visit to Buda Castle, the parliament building or St Stephens Basilica, the largest church in Budapest. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
Saturday: Budapest – Esztergom – Bratislava
Explore more of Budapest this morning then after lunch, we cruise to Esztergom, a town steeped in history. Enjoy a visit to Esztergom Cathedral, the largest church in Hungary or simply enjoy the atmosphere. We sail late this evening in the direction of Bratislava.
Sunday: Bratislava to Dürnstein
We arrive in the capital of Slovakia this morning, the charming city of Bratislava. It is the only national capital to border two countries: Austria and Hungary. The town’s many attractions include Trinity Church and the medieval town hall.
Monday: Dürnstein to Krems
After a night of cruising, we arrive early in Dürnstein in the Wachau Valley. Enjoy a morning stroll around this town before our afternoon cruise along this scenic stretch of the Danube. In Krems, join our optional excursion to Melk Abbey, a Baroque Benedictine monastery and Renaissance Schallaburg Castle.
Tuesday: Krems – Grein – Linz
Today we cruise to Grein, set between green hills and the Blue Danube. Explore the 18th-century Greinburg Castle or relax as the locals do in the time-honoured cafés. After lunch we return to our starting point, Linz. Enjoy the Captain’s gala dinner and final evening on the MPS Da Vinci.
Wednesday: Linz to Belgium
We disembark and travel from Linz to arrive at our overnight hotel in Belgium in time for dinner .
Thursday: Belgium to UK
We travel on to Calais for our ferry to Dover and continue home.
