Enjoyable short break

Very pleasant hotel, great food and excellent service. This was definitely one of the best Shearings hotels we have stayed in. Hotel is in a great location near to the shops and other amenities. All the staff were most helpful, a well run hotel.

Lovaly Midweek Break

We have just returned home from a wonderful break at this hotel. The food and the service in the restaurant was lovely and really good value. We will definitely return in the future. We think it would be of help to guests if there were signs on the corridors indicating where the stairs are (especially on the third floor were they don't line up with the other flights. The gym and pool looked lovely too but we fortunate enough to get good weather so didn’t get to try them out.

Relaing Break

Just back from a three night stay at the St George and I'd like just like to thank all concerned for a wonderful weekend, the staff were brilliant and the food was first class. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, the secondary double glazing certainly helped with the traffic noise and late night revellers. Well done, keep it up as we are looking to go back in September.

Wonderful Break

We booked a short stay in Harrogate staying at the St. George the reception and dining areas were decorated to a very high standard, the bedrooms was modern and very clean. The food and staff were excellent. The day trips were brilliant visiting York, Weatherby, Grassington, Petley Bridge & Skipton all in 5 days! Beautiful scenery at this time of year. What value for money, so impressed we have booked another trip next month!!

Absolutely Excellent

Had a wonderful time here, staff were very friendly, particularly the restaurant manager and the barman. Food excellent. The only downside to my stay was the fact that it was so hot outside that it made the room very hot and stuffy even with the window open, but the very helpful receptionist spoke to the duty manager who managed to get me a fan from the bar. All said and done it was absolutely fabulous and nothing was a problem. Hopefully will return later in the year.

Superb Weekend Break

Just returned from a 3-night break and delighted to report that we had a lovely time. The hotel is in a great position - shame there isn't much parking which is the only downside but can't be helped due to its central location-all the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. The bed was so comfortable and public areas very well decorated and furnished. We also enjoyed the indoor pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return.

1st Class Hotel

Our first stay at the St George was wonderful. The staff were friendly, the bedroom was clean and nicely decorated. The dining room was bright and airy and the lounges very comfortable. The food was excellent. All together a super break. Our first but certainly not our last visit to the St George.
