About New Southlands Hotel

The New Southlands Hotel is a handsome, intimate property perfectly situated on Scarborough’s South Cliff. From the hotel, the Esplanade, Italian Rose Gardens and South Bay are easily accessible.

Scarborough itself retains much of the character of an elegant Victorian seaside town, with handsome architecture and walkways, as well as boasting more modern entertainments and attractions. Further inland, North Yorkshire is an oft overlooked gem of a County offering beautiful scenery and countless attractions both historic and modern.

The hotel possesses all of the amenities and facilities you would expect from a Coast and Country venue. In addition, our staff will offer you a warm, friendly welcome, and ensure that your stay is as relaxing and memorable as possible.

This hotel only has a limited amount of parking spaces, these can be reserved at £5.00 per day. There is some on road parking and a nearby public car park, charges apply for both.

Often our most luxurious room option. Most premier rooms have four-poster beds and spacious en suite bathrooms that have been beautifully re-fitted to accommodate both bath and shower options. These large rooms will normally offer a comfortable seating area, 32 inch flat screen digital television, hairdryer and the facilities to make a hot beverage.

Chilled Out

Having never been to this destination I was eager to explore what Scarborough had to offer and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel was very welcoming from the time I stepped off the coach and due to my illness all was catered for, when I requested certain items to make me more comfortable nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable, easy access to the town and the many sights .The menu could have been a bit more thought out never the less it was good. (Excellent holiday)

Relaxing Holiday

We stayed in a standard double room, very clean, food was good and varied, quiet location, easy access to town and sea-front, friendly and efficient staff, very enjoyable, definitely recommended and revisit.

Happy Feet

Warm and comfortable hotel. Good menu and high standard. Just felt a little rushed during meal times. Staff helpful and friendly. Entertainment good. Rooms clean and lots of hot water readily available. Decor a little faded and tired.

3 day break

My mother and I have just had a 3 day break to Scarborough, we stayed at The New Southlands Hotel. We found all the staff very welcoming and helpful they told us everything we needed to know on arrival. The bedroom was very nice and clean and the food was very good. We found it very relaxing and will definetly go again. The location is out of town but there is a regular bus service.

5 Day Break

Just returned from this hotel after a 5 day break, very welcoming staff, the room was basic but clean, the television was out of the ark but you don’t go on holiday to watch TV. The food was good restaurant staff were brilliant David was great. Entertainment was non to cleaver that never bothered us you need a mortgage to buy drinks I think most hotels are the same all in all we enjoyed our break. Kevin our Shearings driver was brilliant .the only thing we didn’t like was the travelling 11 hours

Christmas Break

We have just got back from our Christmas Break. The holiday was excellent food, staff etc we couldn't have had better. We had a great crowd staying there with us, laughter nearly all the way. We had a standard room, just right for us as we only sleep in it. Only down side is the long trip north for us. That said we shall go again sometime. Well done to all.

Great Escape

1st time in Scarborough and it was great, hotel was lovely and the food was excellent great variety and lots of different menu's to choose from, very clean and the staff where brilliant. Went on two trips countryside missed out on going to the city centre but we can always do it again, Kevin the driver was great and so knowledgeable appreciated his good driving felt safe. Bit of a long journey glad to get to hotel. Harbour looks great, and lift down to shore good, entertainment good.
