Home to many of Britain’s best loved and well known seaside resorts including Eastbourne, Bournemouth and Weymouth.

One of the most popular resorts in the South East is Eastbourne. A town that enjoys a glorious location, sheltered by the rolling South Downs and awe-inspiring Beachy Head. You can wander the pretty seafront or Victorian pier to take in the beautiful setting, and discover heritage of the surrounding area during your stay.

Further along the East Sussex coast and into Kent is Folkestone, the ‘gateway to France’. A lovable seaside resort in the idyllic Kent countryside. Within its old quarter, home to a picturesque harbour and cobbled streets lined with inviting pubs, you’ll discover its original fishing village charm. Brighton is the most fashionable of 19th-century seaside resorts, Brighton is still a firm favourite today, with attractions to entertain young and old alike.

The naval city of Portsmouth is becoming Britain’s favourite waterside city with numerous maritime attractions to keep you occupied on your holiday. From historic ships at HM Naval Base, a bustling harbour and the national icon that is the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth and the Solent area is one of the best places in the South East to visit.

Only a short ferry journey away from Portsmouth is the Isle of Wight. Always a popular choice, the magnificent, diamond-shaped Isle of Wight is the ideal location for a relaxing break at any time of year. Although separated by only three miles of water from mainland England, you will feel a million miles away.
