Our most luxurious room option, most of our Premier Rooms come with a four poster bed as well as a spacious refitted bathroom that accommodates both bath and a separate shower. These bedrooms will normally offer extras such as comfortable seating area, a 32 inch digital flat screen television, hair dryer as well as a hospitality tray.
Our Superior Rooms are more spacious and tastefully refurbished, they offer luxurious beds, a 26 inch digital flat screen television. The spacious bathrooms have been refitted with shower over bath. These rooms also come with the facilities to make yourself a hot drink.
Our Standard Rooms are charming and have everything you would expect. The rooms have digital televisions, tea and coffee making facilities as well as an en-suite bathroom.

Lovely hotel with bags of character, very good meals and decent portion sizes, great staff especially Fran in the dining room, she was always happy and hard working. Most rooms are now updated but some with showers only. This hotel has probably the best position in all of Weymouth....overlooking the beach and 2 minutes from the town centre. Worth every penny!!

We travelled with Shearings coach holidays and really enjoyed our break Corey the housekeeper/bar maid was exceptionally kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble for her. Wayne the waiter was also very helpful. We paid extra for a sea view room and were really pleased we did, the views are excellent. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We made our own entertainment in the Games Room! Our only gripe is we did not get to the hotel until 5pm and had no choice with our meal time.

Great hotel staff fabulous. We came with Shearings coach holidays and it was great the room and the food the evening entertainment was really good .we found the staff very helpful .the room was cleaned everyday clean towels every day. We liked it that much that on the 28 January we are going back for a 5 day break looking forward to going.

Had room 412 - lovely front facing sea view, but windows old and VERY draughty - rain blew in through the gaps. Bit of a mix up with the tables at mealtimes - meals not up to usual Shearings standard. Hotel was half full and not many people in attendance for the entertainment, so not a very good atmosphere for dancing. Although it was a "turkey and tinsel" break, the hotel decor wasn't very festive despite being the week before Christmas. Hotel in perfect location.

We had a great time, staff great, food good. Sea view room superb. Entertainment good - especially the Shirley Bassey tribute - pity they have been discontinued would have returned for them. Now for the bad news - car parking was shocking only a limited number of vouchers available, even though the car park at the rear of the hotel was empty!!!Parking charges expensive £1.50 per hour plus £3 for overnight - not a cheap break.

Heating in the hotel was poor, bank holiday weekend was cold, wet and windy and on some days the heating was very late coming on or nonexistent, heard several people complaining how cold they were and how drafty some of the rooms were. On complaining on first day it was discovered the timers had been changed on the boiler. Couldn’t even sit in the lounge area as cold winds blew through every time front doors opened. Bed was hard. Staff friendly and food was good. The cold spoilt it for me.

This was our second time at this hotel and we will be going again in May/2012. The staff were fantastic and so was the food. Although the decor was a little dated, you couldn't fault the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. As my mother is slightly less abled, it was great being so close to the beach and all the amenities. I am sure that we will have many more happy breaks here and would recommend it to anyone.

My mum & dad stayed here last week and on the Tuesday it was my mum birthday, I called the hotel on the Monday to ask if they could arrange a cake for her but they said they would have needed a few more days for this, BUT if it was ok with me the lady I was speaking too offered to go to ADSA after she finished work and get one from there for me along with a balloon and card. On her birthday the hotel made a great fuss over her, sang happy birthday, and made her day. Thank you for the GREAT SERVICE!!!

On arrival we decided to upgrade our room, your receptionist was very helpful and found us one which was extremely spacious with a beautiful view over Weymouth, we thought it well worthwhile paying that little bit extra it really made our weekend special. Thankyou to all the staff at the Royal.

We had a lovely time all staff warm and friendly. Food was very good, but did not like having to stand and wait for a table at breakfast time as there was no room.

Really enjoyed our holiday right from the start, not having to drive myself. Our driver Phil was ACE! We found the staff at the hotel excellent and the food very good. The bed could have been better, I could feel all the springs in the mattress. The damp patch on the wall above the window was the least attractive feature. Drinks in the room topped up regularly, great. Entertainment was good especially Steve the guitarist, superb! And the price, excellent value!!! Would certainly go back.
