Great

Just returned after 5 wonderful days hotel good but does need a bit of refurbishment nice and clean food was very good entertainment ok but we did not need it with the crowd we were with comedian was very funny and had a great voice staff were very obliging. I must mention the coach driver Chris he was great we had a really good laugh with him he was smashing. Weather was a bit cold but dry, thanks Sandra for organising it can't wait for the next.

Excellent

What a lovely hotel. Great food, good menu and plenty of it. The staff are so welcoming, polite and very helpful. The entertainment was the best I have seen at Shearings for a long time (20 years). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would like to see the entertainment back at all Shearings hotels? It is the entertainment that makes a good holiday.

Pleasant Surprise

Stayed on four night break had visited year's before and I noticed a great improvement Staff very helpful Food good and plentiful room warm which was a bonus for us oldie's as other's have said could do with a lick of paint in certain place's and creaking floorboard's were a pain hence the 4 star's

Fantastic Break!

Had a lovely mid-week break! Although it was cold, the sun was shining which was a bonus! Fantastic value break. We had room 126 which wasn't very good, there was a leak behind the cistern in the bathroom and the view was of the bins in the back yard. Ceiling VERY high and a lot of walking about from the room above ALL night. Entertainment was absolutely fantastic and food was delicious although service was slow. Will definitely go again!

Excellent Value

Good food, nice room, staff very welcoming - - and "friendly seagulls" on our balcony! Would definitely go back.

Great Weekend

Had a lovely weekend, food was great and plentiful. We had a double room with sea views, hotel was very clean, needs a lick of paint here and there. That didn't bother us as everything else was good. Including the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Eastbourne is a lovely seaside town, and from the hotel you can have a nice stroll along to the pier, and town all on an even surface. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Great Value Break

Stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated right across the road from the beach, sadly out of bounds during the stay due to coastal erosion work, but this is due for completion by April. It is a short level walk along the prom to the pier, we had a great view of it from the room as we upgraded to a sea view for a tenner extra. The food was excellent and entertainment good, the hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there but highly recommended.

Great Weekend

Four of us stayed for a long weekend, the rooms were first class, and we had a sea view. The staff were very friendly, the food was good, starter and dessert were 10 out of 10 the main course not quite so good, but in all enjoyable. We will all be coming again. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

Great Value Break

Although we were the youngest by miles here we were never made to feel like the outsiders. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it, the room was fine, the food was lovely and in general it was great value for money. We had a fire evacuation and the staff dealt with it really well, making sure we were out and even though it was half way through our main meal and once we had got back in dinner was over the staff wanted to make sure we finished but we declined but got extra at breakfast.

Good Value

Lovely twin room on 3rd floor overlooking the sea. Staff could not be more helpful. Reception rooms very spacious but did not like very small lift. Food reasonable but main course quite poor, vegetables overcooked. Otherwise my daughter and I had very good time.
