Our Superior Rooms are more spacious and tastefully refurbished, they offer luxurious beds, a 26 inch digital flat screen television. The spacious bathrooms have been refitted with shower over bath. These rooms also come with the facilities to make yourself a hot drink.

Had a lovely mid-week break here at the end of February/early Mach 2012. Hoping to return again soon. Great sea-view room with large bathroom (Room 312 I think). We were blessed with lovely warm t-shirt weather which was a real bonus for the time of year. Friendly informative staff, nice meals, clean rooms, nice company. Special praise must go to Tony the tour driver, excellent guy with lots of local knowledge. Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

Had a good 4 days here. Very good value for money. Our Waitress Gosha was lovely. We wish her Dad well! Disliked the soggy- vegetables- carrots/swede, broccoli at meal times, sorry! Nasty stain on bedroom carpet. Paint peeling off of windows frames. Lovely bathroom in our twin room, all in white but the scratched yellowy sink was horrible. Channel 4 -TV was off air every day at 4.00pm. WHY? Ladies on our table wanted to know why! Mark Snow was brilliant. As was the girl singer. Ray Cambell too!

I notice my last review didn't get displayed was that because I only gave you two stars, the standard room pictures look really nice shame that isn't the reality!! Not sure what star rating this hotel has perhaps it hasn't got on the scale yet. The food and cleaning were very good EVA the waitress excellent good enough to work in a London Hotel.

Went to the Burlington on 14th January. Excellent value for money paid. Had no complaints at all. The journey back through snow and ice was very bad but the drivers were excellent and got us home safely although very late arriving back. We cannot thank them enough. Will definitely be travelling with Shearings again and would go back to this hotel.

Reception staff were very welcoming. Room 124 needs renovating, TV is too low to view comfortably. Food was fine though not the hottest, waiter wasn’t on good form and got orders wrong. Entertainment was fine, sound system not the clearest though talking throughout I consider rude. Coach trip to Battle and Rye was only spoilt by the weather. Driver was very informative.

Had a nice time everything was good except the room, NEEDS UPDATING- went with another couple their room bright and cheerful - OURS DARK DULL AND COLD - lighting poor, Had 2 plug in heaters -1 worked - Must say they replaced it after complaining BATHROOM flooring had holes in, basin was cracked, shower did not work raw plugs on wall where shelf should be-had a sea view so paid extra -not very happy that we had to pay same price as others for that room. Otherwise HOTEL GOOD - MAY GO AGAIN?

Went for a turkey and tinsel bargain break and that are exactly what we got. Large room on the second floor, warm but widows were dirty and would not open, carpet needed replacing, wash hand basin did not match toilet or bath and no shelf .Food was not bad, but we were allotted a terrible table in an alcove next to a kitchen door, serving table, and porridge/soup table (not the ideal place to have Christmas dinner) Trips good .Entertainment good, Mark tried very hard, Overall good value for money.

A very nice 5 day holiday. My room 330 was very good but possibly needs new carpet, fix the taps in the sink please they move quite a lot when used. One of the lamps over the mirror work. Food was generally very good but not scrambled eggs (mine was a bit watery).Staff were very good polite and helpful. Thanks go to Rebecca our waitress for excellent service and for patience with me when Thanks also to Matt at the bar for looking after me and dawn very well he also sat for a photo with her!

Weekend break. Good Three Star Hotel nice position on sea front clean and tidy, but still needs improvement. Bath towels are too small, but room clean. Excellent food well presented. The entertainment and the drink service was poor. The car park is a joke and you need to keep going back to hotel to let you in and out. All it needs is a barrier, with a programmed card. They should get more staff to give a better service in the evening. Over all this was a good weekend break at a good price.

Have just returned from a 4 day midweek break and was rather disappointed with the Burlington, she is in need of a complete makeover. The premier room we stayed in did have wonderful views the entertainment was good but the food was very poor the portions are very small will have to think twice before staying at another Shearings hotel.

Excellent food and well presented. All staff were helpful and courteous. We had a standard room at the rear of the hotel (No 200) and found this to be a big disappointment. The paintwork in general was in a poor state and there were greasy marks on the wall above the headboard. The metal framed window in the bathroom was more rust than metal. What really annoyed my wife and I was the creaking bed base which made sleep difficult. After the first night we put the mattress on the floor.

Great holiday another good holiday with shearings met some great people .mark on the entertainment was fantastic got everybody dancing the first night we got there. Can’t fault anything at all. The food was very good and the staff looked after us all especially Bruno our waiter.

Just back from a week’s break. Staff all very helpful, food good, room ok (sea view standard room), location brilliant, right in central position across from pier around the corner from all the shops and pubs if you want more than hotel entertainment. Would go back.

We were on the 4th floor and the views were excellent, we had a sea view Superior room, it was very nicely decorated and the facilities excellent. Parking is a bit of an issue but we got a space on the sea front for 50p per day with a voucher from reception. The food was the best we've had and we've stayed in many Shearings hotels, it was well cooked and always hot. This was our first stay at the Burlington and we are already discussing when to go again.

My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night break. Our sea view was spacious and comfortable. The food was good and Mum's special diet was effortlessly cared for. The staff were without exception, welcoming and friendly, especially the kind and helpful manager! The entertainment was varied and of a professional quality. This was our first stay at the Burlington and we will most definitely be back!

Had a very pleasant stay. All staff are pleasant and friendly. All food excellent and well presented. Great room (No 411) with a sea view. Very clean and bright. Excellent value for money, would recommend. Good size car park, holds approximately 55 cars, but get there early as it soon fills up.
